Abhishek Sharma breaks the record for most T20I sixes in a calendar year
India opener Abhishek Sharma hit his 69th six of 2026 during the fourth T20I against the West Indies, breaking Suryakumar Yadav's record of 68 set in 2022.
Abhishek went past Suryakumar Yadav's 2022 tally of 68 sixes among Full Member nations, continuing a year of breathtaking power-hitting at the top of the order.
His 29 off limited deliveries in Hyderabad underlined how central he has become to India's aggressive template under the current leadership.
With one match still to play in 2026's home calendar, the new benchmark could stretch further before the year is out.
