Avengers: Endgame re-release tops North American box office
In a remarkable box-office turn, a seven-year-old film won the weekend as the Avengers: Endgame re-release took first place in North America with $26.11 million for September 25–27.
It held off the Resident Evil horror sequel at $23.01 million and new releases including Brad Pitt's Heart of the Beast ($20.04 million) and Robert Pattinson's Primetime ($19.20 million).
Animated newcomer Forgotten Island was a distant fifth with $13.01 million.
