The Enforcement Directorate searched three premises in Hyderabad in connection with a cyber fraud case registered in Ernakulam.

The Enforcement Directorate's Kochi zonal office conducted searches at three premises in Hyderabad on October 28 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, officials said on Friday.

The searches targeted premises linked to Allamraju Satyanarayana Murthy in connection with a cyber fraud case registered at the Cyber Police Station, Ernakulam. Investigators seized Rs 6.40 lakh in cash, froze 11 bank accounts with a balance of about Rs 14 lakh, and collected digital evidence.

The investigation was initiated on the basis of an FIR alleging the complainant was cheated of Rs 26.02 crore between May 2023 and May 2024. The ED said it also identified immovable properties, plots and a villa — launched in the name of Aasritha Infra Projects — valued at about Rs 5 crore.
