Indian automakers logged strong dispatch numbers in September ahead of the festive season. Maruti Suzuki's total monthly sales rose 24 per cent to 2.36 lakh units, while Hero MotoCorp posted a 12 per cent increase to 7.66 lakh units.

Maruti Suzuki India reported total monthly sales of 2.36 lakh units in September, up 24 per cent, as dealerships stocked up for the festive buying season. The country's largest carmaker led the pack in factory dispatches.

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler maker by volume, saw September sales climb 12 per cent to 7.66 lakh units, signalling healthy rural and entry-level demand. Domestic manufacturers across segments reported high shipment numbers for the month.

The strong September volumes suggest automakers expect a buoyant festive quarter, with consumer sentiment and financing conditions supporting demand.
