138th-ranked India drew 1–1 with World Cup side Panama, ranked 44th, in an international friendly in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Ryan Williams put India ahead in the 41st minute off an Akash Mishra assist, before Panama equalised in the 68th.

India next face Brazil on October 3 — a stern test as the side builds towards tougher continental fixtures.
