Telangana on extremely heavy rain alert; Hyderabad to see scattered showers
The IMD has warned of extremely heavy rain across several Telangana districts over the next 24 hours as a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal affects weather across the state. Khammam, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu and Jayashankar Bhupalpally are among the districts on watch.
Hyderabad is likely to see scattered light to moderate rain through the day, with overcast skies and high humidity keeping temperatures around 30–31°C. Commuters have been advised to brace for waterlogging and travel delays in low-lying areas.
Civic officials said emergency and sanitation teams would remain on standby through the Visarjan day, given the overlap of the procession with the rain warning.
