Gold rates in Hyderabad steadied on Wednesday, with 24K gold at ₹14,957 a gram (₹1,49,570 per 10 grams), 22K jewellery gold at ₹13,710 a gram, and silver at ₹245 a gram (₹2,45,000 per kg).

The rates edged up from Tuesday's ₹14,902 a gram for 24K, even as MCX gold futures slipped — a divergence that shows how local retail references and exchange benchmarks can move on different rhythms.

Globally, gold remains in record territory as investors hedge against rate-hike cycles, sticky inflation and geopolitical risk from West Asia to Eastern Europe.

Jewellers remind buyers these are metal reference rates — making charges, wastage and 3% GST still get added to the final bill.
