Houthis expand attacks on Saudi targets, hit airports

Iran-backed Houthis have widened their attacks inside Saudi Arabia, with three people killed and 36 wounded over two days in strikes on King Khalid International Airport and Abha airport near the Yemen border.

In a televised speech, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi vowed to keep attacking Saudi targets and warned workers to avoid oil facilities.

The war has intensified since the July collapse of the US-Iran ceasefire, with the Red Sea corridor and Gulf energy infrastructure back in the crosshairs.

For global markets already rattled by the Hormuz tanker attacks, a widening Saudi front adds another layer of supply risk.
