IIT Ropar has launched AVNI, an AI-powered app that helps children learn about agriculture, food and crops through interactive, personalised lessons.

The app uses AI to adapt lessons to each child's pace, turning farms, crops and food systems into an interactive classroom — a rare bridge between cutting-edge tech and the country's agrarian roots.

It is part of a wider wave of Indian institutes putting AI to work in education, from exam prep to vernacular learning.

If it scales, AVNI could quietly reshape how the next generation of farmers' children understand the science beneath the soil.
