Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has received a U/A 16+ certificate with its runtime revealed ahead of the October 15 release, as the new trailer — with Vidya Balan in a fierce new avatar — sets up the Diwali-season box-office clash.

The Hindi trailer shows Rajinikanth back as the quietly menacing Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Vidya Balan's fierce turn and Apeksha Porwal's confirmed casting adding fresh intrigue to Nelson's follow-up.

The U/A 16+ certification signals a harder-edged outing than the first film — a calculated choice for a franchise that thrived on its tonal tightrope.

With the October 15 release locked, the countdown to the year's biggest southern box-office event has officially begun.
