Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein, the principality's acting head of state, begins a state visit to India from October 25 to 28 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prince Alois will be accompanied by his spouse, Hereditary Princess Sophie, along with a high-level official delegation and a business delegation of top industry leaders, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

He will hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister on trade and investment, science, technology and innovation, and people-to-people exchanges, and exchange views on regional and global developments.

He will also meet President Droupadi Murmu, who will host an official banquet in his honour, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will call on him. It is his second visit to India in 2026, after attending the AI Impact Summit in February.
