Microsoft's new India South Central cloud region in Hyderabad — a 52-acre campus at Chandanvelly with three availability zones and zero-water server cooling — is now live and operational.

The region anchors Microsoft's $20.5 billion India commitment, with early customers including HDFC Bank (as disaster-recovery anchor), Bajaj Finserv (AI models), Adani's digital lab and PB Pay.

Hyderabad is being positioned as a hub for Asia and the Global South, tied to the 3,600-km India–Malaysia–Singapore subsea cable landing by 2029.
