Polish PM Donald Tusk begins three-day India visit; talks with Modi on October 22

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday evening for a three-day official visit, his first as PM in 16 years. He will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 22 and attend business forums in Delhi and Bengaluru with nearly 100 Polish companies.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk landed in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, beginning a three-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was received at the airport by Minister of State Raj Bhushan Choudhary, and the Ministry of External Affairs said the visit would give fresh impetus to the India-Poland Strategic Partnership.
The two leaders hold extensive bilateral talks on October 22, covering defence manufacturing, trade, emerging technologies, space research and renewable energy, along with the Russia-Ukraine conflict and India-EU relations. Tusk is accompanied by Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domanski and a large business delegation; nearly 100 Polish companies from agriculture, IT, space and defence are joining the visit, according to Polish MP Kinga Gajewska.
This is Tusk's second visit to India as Polish Prime Minister -- his first was in 2010 -- and it follows PM Modi's August 2024 visit to Warsaw, which elevated ties to a Strategic Partnership. After Delhi, Tusk travels to Bengaluru to meet IT and space sector stakeholders, with India-Poland Business Forums scheduled in both cities.
