The epic opens 5 November; Shah Rukh Khan's 'King' lands at Christmas while Hollywood giants split December.

The film releases days before Diwali on 8 November in five Indian languages, targeting the family crowd. Part 2 is planned for Diwali 2027, which means the two-part structure leaves little room for a stumble.

The season's real battle is for screens, not audiences: Ramayana owns the Diwali window, November belongs to mid-sized Hindi films working around global tentpoles, and Christmas week hands the field to Shah Rukh Khan, back on screen for the first time since Dunki (2023).

Meanwhile, the first reactions to Godzilla Minus Zero are enthusiastic ahead of its release, and talk of Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves possibly appearing in Christopher Nolan's next film sent fans into a buzz on Friday.
