In an interview with Komal Nahta, Tips Industries' Kumar Taurani defended recreated songs as a business engine for the film industry.

Taurani claimed producer Shobha Kapoor personally told him the recreated “Choli Ke Peeche” in Crew (2024) earned her an extra ₹25 crore — an anecdote, not an audited figure — and stated that “every film should have recreated songs.”

He cited streaming jumps for classics after recreation and pointed to the ₹1,000-crore Dhurandhar as a showcase of well-woven recreated tracks, adding fuel to Bollywood's long-running debate over remixes versus originals.
