Two companies have cornered 68% of the $687 million in disclosed equity funding for India's Indic-language AI sector, according to a Tracxn report.

Sarvam alone raised $346 million across two rounds in 2026, with Krutrim adding $75 million, in a year that dwarfs 2025's $23 million.

The report says the surge shows investors treating Indian-language AI as a concentration play.
