Suryakumar Yadav returns to competitive cricket in President's Cup

Former India captain Suryakumar Yadav returned to competitive cricket on Sunday in the Mumbai Cricket Association's President's Cup, receiving his maiden MIG Cricket Club cap and being named captain.
He made a quick 17 off 10 balls as MIG chased down 154 in 15.4 overs to win by five wickets.
Suryakumar is playing club cricket after missing Mumbai's Ranji Trophy 2026-27 squad — he has not played red-ball cricket since February 2025 — and the stint is seen as a fitness and form-building exercise.
