The Election Commission has extended the claims-and-objections filing period for Telangana's Special Intensive Revision to October 7, 2026, with the final voter list now scheduled for November 9.

The extension gives voters and political parties more time to contest the draft rolls at a moment when the revision is under intense scrutiny over bogus Form-7 deletion bids in Hyderabad.

Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy has directed district officials to ensure every notice is personally delivered by booth-level officers, tightening the verification chain.

With the final list due November 9, the next month will be decisive for how Telangana's rolls — and the controversies around them — are settled.
