TG SAFE suspends licences of 14 Hyderabad eateries, including Shah Ghouse and Hotel Nayaab

Unhygienic kitchens have cost 14 city restaurants their licences — and two of Hyderabad's most famous food names are on the list.
TG SAFE inspectors fanned out across the city on Saturday and found kitchen conditions at 14 restaurants falling short of food-safety norms, leading to immediate suspension of their FSSAI licences. The presence of Shah Ghouse and Hotel Nayaab — beloved names in Hyderabad's culinary landscape — has made this the most talked-about food-safety action of the year.
Officials said the inspections focused on hygiene standards in kitchens, storage practices and compliance with licensing conditions. Suspended outlets must rectify the violations and clear re-inspection before they can resume operations.
The action continues TG SAFE's aggressive enforcement run in the city, which has included raids on sweet shops and restaurants in recent weeks. For diners, the message is clear: the city's famous food streets are under the scanner, and licences are no longer taken for granted.
