The Telangana Congress has approached Police Commissioner C.V. Sajjanar alleging a coordinated attempt to delete genuine voters — including Congress workers and supporters — through pre-filled Form-7 applications during the Special Intensive Revision.

The party told the commissioner that pre-filled Form-7 applications were being submitted in bulk to target genuine voters, and demanded that an FIR be registered and a Special Investigation Team constituted to unearth the network behind them.

The complaint deepens the political temperature around the SIR, with the Congress framing the deletions as voter suppression and the BJP rejecting the allegation outright.

It also raises the stakes for the state CEO's order for action against false submissions — the police and the poll machinery may now have to work the same case from two ends.
