Russia keeps hitting Ukrainian energy sites despite Trump's claimed ceasefire; Zelensky vows retaliation

Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have continued despite President Trump's insistence that Moscow and Kyiv agreed to suspend attacks — an agreement Kyiv says was never confirmed.
Six Ukrainian energy sites have been hit since Trump announced the supposed ceasefire, Zelensky said, as Russia targets gas infrastructure, power plants and substations ahead of winter.
Zelensky has vowed Ukraine will keep striking Russian oil refineries in retaliation, defying US pressure to stop — Trump blames those strikes for record diesel prices ahead of the November 3 midterms.
Trump has also concluded a contentious deal to buy Russian diesel in defiance of existing sanctions, drawing criticism at home even as he announced the unconfirmed energy-truce.
