Telangana's Taniparthi Chikitha teamed up with Vennam Jyothi Surekha and Prithika Pradeep to win gold in the women's compound archery team event at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated the trio on Wednesday, saying their performance had brought “immense pride to India and Telangana” and would inspire young athletes to pursue their dreams.
The victory continued India's steady rise in compound archery, a discipline in which the country has steadily built a formidable international presence.
