Hyderabad to host Archery Premier League Season 2 this October

The world's only franchise-based archery league returns to Hyderabad for its second season this October, with 48 Indian and international archers across six franchises competing over 11 days, culminating in the final on Oct 18.
Launched in 2025 to strengthen India's Olympic medal prospects, the Archery Premier League brings recurve and compound archers — men and women — together in competitive conditions, with a unique 15-second shot clock that adds a premium on speed and composure.
Six franchises — Mighty Marathas, Rajputana Royals, Prithviraaj Yodhas, Kakatiya Knights, Chero Archers and Chola Chiefs — will field mixed squads of eight archers each in a double round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the semifinals.
The league enjoys the support of World Archery and World Archery Asia. Organisers thanked the Telangana government for its backing and said Hyderabad's sporting culture made it the ideal stage for the second season.
