India edge Pakistan 4-3 in hockey thriller to reach Asian Games final

Defending champions India beat Pakistan 4-3 in the men's hockey semifinal on Oct 1 to reach the gold-medal match. India raced to 3-0 before Pakistan fought back to 3-3, and Abhishek struck the winner with about 49 seconds left. India face South Korea or Malaysia in the Oct 3 final.

Defending champions India edged arch-rivals Pakistan 4-3 in a pulsating men's hockey semifinal at the Asian Games on Oct 1 to book their place in the gold-medal match.

India raced to a 3-0 lead through Harmanpreet Singh's first-half brace and Sukhjeet Singh's field goal, but Pakistan clawed back to 3-3 through Abu Mahmood, Hannan Shahid and Waheed Ashraf Rana.

Abhishek struck the winner with about 49 seconds left on the clock, setting up an Oct 3 final against South Korea or Malaysia.
