India's T20 side crushed Sri Lanka in the Asian Games semifinal on Oct 1, bowling them out for 45 in 9.5 overs after posting 169/7. Ishan Kishan anchored with an unbeaten 80 off 46 balls while Jasprit Bumrah and Abhishek Sharma shared the bowling honours. India now meet Pakistan in the gold-medal match on Oct 3.

India produced a ruthless display in the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket semifinal, thrashing Sri Lanka by 124 runs to march into the gold-medal match against Pakistan.

Ishan Kishan's unbeaten 80 off 46 balls, supported by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's 38 off 21, powered India to 169/7. The bowlers then took over: Jasprit Bumrah struck with wickets off the first five balls of the innings to finish with 2-7, while Abhishek Sharma's 2-2 helped skittle Sri Lanka for 45 in 9.5 overs.

The gold-medal showdown against Pakistan is scheduled for Oct 3 — a repeat of one of world sport's fiercest rivalries, now with an Asian Games title on the line.
