BCCI denies India–Sri Lanka ODI moved from Delhi to Ahmedabad

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia on Monday denied reports that the opening ODI of India's home series against Sri Lanka had been shifted from Delhi to Ahmedabad over construction work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. He called the reports “not accurate,” insisting Delhi remains the venue under the board's standard bilateral-allocation policy.

The opening ODI is scheduled for December 13. Ahmedabad will still host the final ODI of the three-match series on December 19, as originally planned.

Venue allocations for bilateral series are typically locked in months ahead, and the board rarely moves matches once announced — which is why Monday's clarification was needed to settle the speculation.
