India hold Vietnam 1-1 in Nam Dinh friendly
India's senior men's football team played out a 1-1 draw with Vietnam in an international friendly at the Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh on Monday, October 12. The hosts, roared on by the home crowd, created numerous scoring opportunities but could not find a winner.
Bui Vi Hao gave Vietnam the lead in the 38th minute with a sharp finish after sustained first-half pressure. India responded strongly after the break, with Farukh Choudhary capitalising on a defensive lapse to level the score in the 48th minute.
The result gives the Blue Tigers a creditable outcome on the road against higher-ranked opposition, with the coaching staff taking positives from the second-half fightback as the team builds toward its next assignments.
