C-DAC and Bank of India will jointly research quantum and quantum-safe technologies to prepare banking systems for future security challenges.

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and Bank of India have signed an MoU to explore indigenous quantum technologies for banking, with a focus on cybersecurity and financial innovation.

Signed on October 22, the partnership will establish a Quantum Ecosystem for Financial Innovation, combining C-DAC's expertise in high-performance computing, AI, quantum and blockchain with the bank's technology infrastructure to explore quantum-safe security solutions.

The collaboration will cover joint research, pilot implementations, technology demonstrations and capacity building, as MeitY pushes to build a quantum-resilient financial ecosystem.
