Opposition parties under the INDIA bloc marched from Minto Road-Connaught Place to Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Saturday, protesting the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Congress leader K.C. Venugopal framed the march as 'Chalo Dilli, Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao', alleging 13 crore names had been deleted from the rolls, and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The rally followed a symbolic 'public impeachment' of the CEC a day earlier. Delhi saw tight multi-agency security and prohibitory orders as the procession moved through the capital.
