D. E. Shaw India celebrated 30 years of operations in the country and announced a new office at Grava Business Park in Neopolis, Hyderabad, at an event attended by Telangana IT minister D. Sridhar Babu.

The firm opened its first Indian office in Hyderabad in 1996, adding Bengaluru and Gurugram in 2023. Teams across the three locations build data and compute infrastructure and AI tools for the global D. E. Shaw group.

The anniversary event was held at the firm's Jubilee Hills office and attended by the group's leadership alongside the state IT minister — a marker of how central Hyderabad has become to global finance-technology operations.

For the city's talent market, the new Neopolis office is another vote of confidence in Hyderabad's deep bench of engineers and researchers.
