Drishyam 3 opens October 2; needs Rs.201.6 cr to dethrone Singham in top-10 franchises

The Drishyam franchise stands at No. 21 on Bollywood Hungama's list of the highest-grossing Hindi franchises of all time, and Drishyam: The Conclusion arrives in cinemas on October 2 with significantly larger expectations than its predecessors.
The Ajay Devgn-led film has sold over a lakh tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis by Tuesday afternoon, indicating strong momentum; trade watchers are eyeing an opening in the Rs.50–60 crore range.
To break into the Top 10, the franchise must cross the current No. 10, Singham, which has a cumulative India net of Rs.509.27 crore — meaning Drishyam 3 must contribute at least Rs.201.60 crore. It is expected to surpass Drishyam 2's lifetime Rs.240.54 crore within a week.
