Hyderabad Metro Rail and Telangana's road transport corporation have introduced a single common travel pass covering both metro and city buses, launched on October 2. The daily joint pass costs ₹400 and the monthly pass ₹8,500, aimed at thousands of commuters who switch between the two networks.

The integrated pass was launched on Friday, October 2, with a formal programme at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was expected to attend as the chief guest.

The pass works across Hyderabad Metro Rail and eligible Telangana State Road Transport Corporation city bus services, removing the need to buy separate tickets for each mode. Officials said the move follows directions from Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju for an early joint ticketing rollout.

The initiative is part of a wider push for integrated public transport in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region, with the government working towards broader common-ticketing arrangements across the city's transport systems.
