AI, quantum tech to power India's next-gen satellites: ISRO experts
ISRO experts said at the National Space Technology Conclave 2026 that artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum technology and inter-satellite links will be transformative for India's upcoming satellite systems.
On-board AI/ML edge computing will enable real-time processing for governance, planning, policymaking and disaster management, while quantum technology is being positioned for cyber-fraud prevention and securing financial and military communications.
India is also strengthening secure navigation against spoofing threats and advancing its Space-Based Surveillance programme.
