J&K moves to deport around 150 illegal Bangladeshi nationals

Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have initiated steps to deport around 150 Bangladeshi nationals found to be living illegally in the Union Territory.
The individuals were identified during verification drives, and deportation proceedings are now moving through the required legal channels.
J&K's action fits a wider national pattern of state governments tightening scrutiny of undocumented foreign nationals this year.
Officials say due process — including confirmation of nationality with Bangladeshi authorities — will be followed before anyone is removed.
