TRS chief Kavitha said forcing out Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar won't fix a ‘broken system’, demanding deep structural reforms and a return to paper ballots over EVMs.

Speaking on Sunday, Kavitha argued that removing the CEC would not repair systemic flaws in the electoral process and instead pushed for structural overhaul, including paper ballots.

She also urged Prime Minister Modi to intervene for Telangana's 60 lakh drought-hit farmers, accusing CM Revanth Reddy of inaction on the agrarian distress.

Her remarks land amid the opposition's third straight day of protests over alleged voter-roll irregularities, which saw Delhi Police detain around 1,000 people and file three FIRs on Oct 2.
