BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Oct 1 challenged CM A. Revanth Reddy to order an inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court judge into both families' assets, saying he was ready to face it himself. The dare answers the CM's charges at a Sircilla meeting that the KCR family amassed massive wealth.

The war of words between Telangana's ruling Congress and the opposition BRS escalated on Oct 1 as K.T. Rama Rao dared Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to order a probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the assets of both their families.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said he was ready to face the inquiry himself, responding to the CM's allegations at a Sircilla public meeting the previous day that the KCR family had cashed in on the Telangana movement for assets worth thousands of crores.

The BRS also used the occasion to welcome several Congress and BJP leaders from Armur into its fold, signalling an aggressive counter-offensive ahead of the GHMC polls.
