Revanth Reddy orders takeover of 550-acre Miyapur land after 'historic' Supreme Court win

The CM accused KCR and his family of trying to grab land worth Rs 50,000 crore after the apex court settled a 23-year battle.
The Supreme Court dismissed petitions from private claimants, ending a 23-year legal fight and upholding the High Court and the Special Court for Land Grabbing Cases, both of which had ruled the land belonged to the state. Revanth Reddy thanked the apex court and said the verdict protected one of the city's largest surviving public land parcels.
The Chief Minister alleged that revenue records were manipulated to help encroachers, and claimed his government has protected government lands worth Rs 1.50 lakh crore over the past three years. He said luxury cars were given as bribes and cash kickbacks paid in connection with the Miyapur deal.
Officials have been told to secure the site immediately. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority is expected to prepare layouts so the land can be monetised to fund the Indiramma housing scheme and other welfare and infrastructure projects.
