Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday, opening a garment unit in Varanasi, watching the Air Force Day aerial display at Namo Ghat, and inaugurating the RBI's new data centre in Bhubaneswar.
The Varanasi programme begins at around 11 am with the inauguration of Arvind Limited's new garment manufacturing facility, which the government says will create jobs, particularly for women, and connect local production to global markets.
At around 1 pm the Prime Minister will attend the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat as chief guest, marking the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force under the theme 'Wings over Ganges', with Tejas, Rafale, SU-30MKI and Prachand helicopters in the flypast.
He then travels to Bhubaneswar to open the Reserve Bank of India's Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute at around 4:45 pm, a facility aimed at strengthening the central bank's technology backbone.
