The horror-comedy was passed with a U/A 16+ certificate on October 12 after the censor board ordered modifications.

Yami Gautam Dhar's horror-comedy Nayyi Navelli releases in theatres on Friday, October 16, after clearing the censor process. The Central Board of Film Certification passed the film with a U/A 16+ certificate on October 12.

The Examining Committee asked for several modifications: the opening disclaimer was redrafted, a climax visual and background music were suitably modified, and 57 seconds of Yami Gautam's dialogue as her character Mohini was censored. The board also required an anti-drug disclaimer and a static disclaimer wherever visuals of masala eating appear.

The film runs 138 minutes, or 2 hours 18 minutes. It stars Yami Gautam alongside Addinath M Kothare, Anurag Thakur and Sunita Rajwar, and arrives amid buzz from its entertaining trailer and the current popularity of the horror-comedy genre.
