A Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 transport aircraft has crashed near Igbokoda, killing all 32 people on board, with President Tinubu declaring three days of national mourning.

The ATR-42 went down near Igbokoda in the country's southwest; no survivors were found among the 32 personnel and civilians aboard.

President Bola Tinubu declared three days of national mourning, calling the loss a blow to the armed forces and the nation.

The Air Force has ordered an inquiry into the crash — the military's worst aviation disaster in recent years.
