Osmania junior doctors hold talks with Health Minister; strike may pause after 10-day fix promise

Junior doctors protesting the shortage of basic infrastructure at Osmania General Hospital met the Health Minister and senior officials, and are considering a temporary pause in their two-day-old strike.
Officials assured the delegation that the hospital's problems would be resolved within ten days — and reportedly indicated the doctors could resume their strike if the deadline is missed.
The assurance has split the medical fraternity: some doctors question how problems unresolved for months — a notice was issued to the DME two months ago — can be fixed in ten days.
Around 450 junior doctors, interns and super-speciality doctors across ten Osmania-network hospitals are part of the protest, which has hit outpatient services hard.
