35,000 runners take over Hussain Sagar for Pink Power Run 3.0
Hyderabad's Hussain Sagar lakefront turned pink early on Sunday as 35,000 participants took part in the third edition of the Pink Power Run for breast-cancer awareness, organised by MEIL and the Sudha Reddy Foundation.
The event offered four race categories — a 21 km half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and 3 km — with a Rs 75 lakh prize pool for over 100 winners and elite runners from more than 12 countries.
Panchayat Raj minister Seethakka, DGP C.V. Anand and US Consul General Laura Williams flagged off the runs, which drew participants aged five to 80 and above, including neurodivergent individuals and persons with disabilities.
