Ramayana advance bookings cross 1.70 lakh, eye biggest non-sequel opening of 2026

With three days to go before release, Nitesh Tiwari's two-part mythological epic Ramayana: Part 1 — Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana — has sold over 1.70 lakh tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis.
That puts it ahead of Border 2 and on track for an estimated Rs 70 crore nett day-one opening, potentially 2026's biggest non-sequel start (trade estimates).
The film releases worldwide on November 5 with a reported Rs 4,000 crore budget and music by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman.
