Elphins, Meukron take top honours at SEMICON Startup Mitra
IESA's Startup Mitra initiative at SEMICON India 2026 ran an early-stage silicon funding round, sponsored by Lam Research and Synopsys, with 11 startups selected from around 200 applicants to pitch to more than 20 venture capitalists.
Elphins Technologies took first place and Meukron Technologies second, with Multi Nano Sense and CraftifAI sharing third; Synopsys committed $250,000 in cloud tool and compute credits to startups.
The wider funding picture remains lopsided: Indian chip startups raised $61.9 million in the first half of 2026 — $206 million since 2022 — with private capital still concentrated compared with the US and China.
