Sensex slips 243 points to 72,529.07 in second straight down day

Indian equities fell for a second straight session on Tuesday as Brent crude climbed past $107 a barrel on US–Iran tensions and the rupee slid to a two-month low.
The Sensex closed 242.65 points lower at 72,529.07 after hitting an intraday low of 72,064, while the Nifty 50 eased 64.05 points to 22,716.20, holding above 22,700.
Foreign investors have pulled about $3.7 billion from Indian markets so far in September, and rising oil costs pushed sovereign bond yields to a two-and-a-half-year peak.
