Sensex settled at 73,123.83 and Nifty at 22,600 on Friday, a fourth straight red session, as crude at $114.7 weighed on oil stocks and broader sentiment.

The Indian stock market ended in the red for the fourth consecutive session on Friday, as investors turned cautious on rising crude oil prices, with the Sensex settling at 73,123.83, down 125.56 points or 0.17 per cent, and the Nifty 50 slipping 87.65 points or 0.39 per cent to 22,600.

Oil-related stocks fell 2-5 per cent as Brent crude climbed to about $114.7 a barrel on fears of supply disruptions after Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Analysts said the sharp correction in mid- and small-caps, which had their worst week in 20 months, remained the market's key concern.

Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 3,458.70 crore on Thursday while domestic institutional investors bought Rs 2,891.32 crore net, according to exchange data.
