Tata Consultancy Services posted a 14.9% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹13,884 crore for Q2FY27, with revenue up 11.2% to ₹73,188 crore — both slightly ahead of Street estimates.

Growth was led by banking, manufacturing and AI-led demand, with annualised AI revenue hitting $3.1 billion — over 10% of revenue — and total contract value at $9.6 billion.

The board declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 per share, and operating margin held at 24%.

The beat offered a rare bright spot on an otherwise brutal day for Indian equities, underlining how AI demand is cushioning India's IT bellwether.
