CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to prepare a comprehensive Child Online Safety Framework to shield children from cybercrime, in consultation with the Telangana High Court and the state legal services authority.

Reddy announced the move while addressing the inaugural session of the National Legal Services Authority's South Zone Regional Conference in Hyderabad, stressing both protection from cybercrime and access to justice.

The framework will be drawn up with the Telangana High Court and the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TGSLSA), an unusual judicial-government partnership on digital child safety.

The directive follows a pattern of the state government using high-profile conferences to announce policy; officials are expected to return with a draft framework for the CM's review.
