'The Vvaan' jumps 40% on Day 2, crosses Rs 19.5 crore
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's 'The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest' collected Rs 11.41 crore net on Day 2 (Saturday), up 40.5 per cent over Day 1's Rs 8.12 crore, taking the two-day India net total to Rs 19.53 crore and the worldwide gross to about Rs 24.85 crore.
The growth spread beyond metros into Tier 2 and Tier 3 and the Hindi heartland markets; occupancy peaked at about 55 per cent in night shows, with Chennai the highest at 70.3 per cent.
The film is on course for a roughly Rs 30 crore opening weekend against a reported budget of Rs 80–150 crore, with 'Drishyam: The Conclusion' arriving next week as stiff competition.
