India beats Pakistan by 19 runs in Nagoya to win the Asian Games cricket gold, with Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma leading the way with the bat.

India clinched the Asian Games cricket gold medal in Nagoya, beating Pakistan by 19 runs in a final played out in front of a packed crowd at Korogi Park.

Abhishek Sharma's 61 and Tilak Varma's unbeaten 51 carried India to 211 for 6, before Pakistan, led by Hasan Nawaz's 96, fell short at 192 despite a spirited chase.

The win capped a tournament in which the arch-rivals met only in the final, and India's players celebrated by parading the national flag around the ground.
